Standard Interval For Oil Changes Now 20,125 Kilometers (12,500 Miles) Or 250 Service Hours

Usage:

Direct Injection 3406 Truck Engines

Description of Change: The standard interval for oil changes has been changed for direct injection 3406 Truck Engines. The oil change interval is now 20,125 km (12,500 mi) or 250 Service Hours, the same interval as for 3406 Truck Engines with precombustion chambers. Formerly, the oil change interval was 12,880 km (8000 mi).

Because of this interval change, the "Emission Related Components" chart on page 80 of the "3406 Truck Engine Operation And Maintenance Guide," Form No. SEBU5595-01 must be changed. Remove the reference to note 6 in item 3. Also, remove note 6 from the bottom of the page.
