Special Studs And Nuts Available For Exhaust Manifolds On Engines Used In Heavy Load Conditions

Usage:

3306 Truck Engines

Special high-temperature taperlock studs and stainless steel nuts are available for the exhaust manifolds on 3306 Engines used in heavy load conditions where manifold temperatures are very high. These high-temperature conditions can cause erosion (gradual removal) of the standard stud material, which makes the studs weaker. After a period of time, this can cause broken studs. The special high-temperature studs and stainless steel nuts will give longer service life on engines operated under these conditions.

The chart shows a list of the special and standard taperlock studs, and the length of each stud. Each of the special studs can be used as a direct replacement for the respective standard stud. With the special high-temperature studs, use the new 2N2766 Locknuts (stainless steel) in place of the standard 1B5355 Nuts.
