New Electronic Height Sensor For Suspension Control{7215}

Usage:

D250B, D300B, D25C, D30C, D35C, D350C, D35HP, D400, D44B and D550B Trucks With Electronically Controlled Suspension

Description of Change: A new electronic height sensor is used to control the ride height of the suspension systems on all Articulated Dump Trucks so equipped. The electronic height sensor initiates front suspension leveling on all machines and rear suspension leveling on D30C, D35C, D35HP and D44B Trucks.

The new sensor has output device protection against short circuits. It is polarity protected and transient suppressed. It also has LED indication of correct operation, which is useful during troubleshooting. The provision of short circuit protection involves adding heat shunts to the board. The addition of these heat shunts requires a dimensional change to the rotor to stop the rotor from contacting the two switches on the board.

Adaptable To: The new 7U1841 Electronic Height Sensor is interchangeable with the former 6U3996 Sensor (canceled), but must be used with a new 7U4923 Optical Rotor. See chart for adaptability. The 7U1841 Electronic Height Sensor also contains a 7U1888 Cable Assembly. The new rotor will work with the former sensor, however, the former 6U9594 Optical Rotor will not work with the new sensor.
