Drawings Available For Six Tools Used During Repairs Of Damaged Pin Bores In Two-Piece Booms{6501,0665}

215 And 235 Excavators

Drawings are now available for six tools used to make repairs (rebore) to damaged pin bores in two-piece booms for 215 and 235 Excavators equipped with two-piece booms.

Damaged pin bores in the foreboom can be rebored if there are two sets of pin bores in the foreboom that are not damaged. Damaged pin bores in the stub boom can be rebored even if all three sets of pin bores are damaged.

The FT1456 Fixture, FT1457 Pin, FT1458 Bushing and FT1459 Pin are used to rebore booms for 215 Excavators. The FT1461 Bushing and FT1462 Fixture are used to rebore booms for 235 Excavators.

Special Instruction Form No. SMHS7625 has the complete procedure and equipment list necessary for these operations.

Drawings for the new tools are available from your Division Service Manager.
