A Spring With A Lower Rate Is Now Used In The Fuel Filter Group To Give Less Fuel Pressure{1261}

Description of Change: A spring with a lower rate is now used in the relief valve in 7N8853 Fuel Filter Group on D379, D398 and in 7N8867 Fuel Filter Group on D399 Industrial and Marine Engines.

The new spring gives a pressure of 30 psi (205 kPa) which is correct according to the specifications. The former spring gave a pressure of 36 psi (250 kPa).

Adaptable To: The new 5N5337 Spring can be installed in place of the former 5B6578 Spring used on D379, D398 and D399 Engines which have the Serial Numbers shown above.
