TESTING POWER BOARD
1. Negative probe of multimeter. 2. Positive probe of multimeter.


MAGNETO PULSER COIL SECTION
1. Pulser rotor assembly. 2. Pulser coil (8 cylinder shown). 3. Pick-up.


MULTIMETER
1. Multimeter. 2. Selector switch.


3N4104 CAPACITOR USED FOR TESTING
1. Black wire, with clip, connected to capacitor ground terminal. 2. Red wire, with clip, connected to positive terminal.


3N4103 ZENER DIODE USED FOR TESTING
1. Black wire, with clip, connected to base of the zener diode. 2. Red wire, with clip, connected to the zener diode terminal.


SCSA MAGNETO SCHEMATIC

A. One section per cylinder.

B1. High Voltage bridge rectifier.

B2. Low Voltage bridge rectifier.

C1. Main storage capacitor.

C2. High frequency by-pass capacitor.

C3. 20 Volt storage capacitor.

C4. Capacitor used to turn off the power SCRs.

C5. Bias storage capacitor.

D1. Isolation diode for main storage capacitor.

D2. Control diode for high speed.

D3. Control diode for low speed.

L1. High voltage generator coil.

L2. Transformer, installed at each spark plug, used to make an increase of the primary voltage to high voltage for ingition.

L3. Low voltage generator coil.

L4. Pulser coil used to turn on SCR2.

P1. Potentiometer used to adjust timing (one per cylinder).

R1. Resistor used to boost the 20 volt supply at low speed.

R2. Resistor used to limit the current to the 20 volt supply.

R3. Resistor used to limit high frequency current in the by-pass circuit.

R4. Resistor used to control the high speed advance and to connect the two power supplies.

R5. Resistor used to limit the current of the 20 Volt supply to SCR2.

R6. Resistor for the gate on SCR1.

R7. Resistor to discharge C4.

R8. Resistor used to limit the current for the spark advance at high speed.

R9. and R10. Resistors used for temperature compensation.

SCR1. Silicon Controlled Rectifier for main power.

SCR2. Silicon Controlled Rectifier used to activate SCR1.

T1. Termistor used to keep the spark constant at all temperatures.

Z1. Zener Diode used to limit the voltage from the generator coils.

Z2. Zener Diode used to limit the voltage to 20 VDC.

Z3. Zener Diode used to limit the reverse bias voltage.
