1. Disconnect ground wire (1) from starter.

2. Disconnect solenoid switch wire (2).

3. Disconnect cable (4) from solenoid.

4. Tag all wires for identification when installing.

5. Attach a hoist to the starter. Remove the three mounting bolts (3). Remove the starter-weight 80 lbs. (36 kg).

Install Starting Motors

1. Attach hoist, and position the starter on the engine. Install the three mounting bolts.

2. Remove the identification tags from wiring. Connect the solenoid switch wire.

3. Connect the cable to the starter solenoid.

4. Connect the ground wire to starter.
