(1) Diameter of drive shaft ... 1.0005-1.0015 in.(25,417-25,443 mm)
Bearing bore ... 1.003-1.005 in.(25,50-25,53 mm)
(2) Diameter of drive shaft front journal ... .6232-.6238 in.(15,829-15,845 mm)
Bearing bore ... .6255-.6275 in.(15,888-15,939 mm)
(3) Torque for drive gear retaining bolt (apply 7M7456 Loctite Sealant to threads) ... 18 ± 2 lb. ft.(2,5 ± 0,3 mkg)
Position of magneto to drive tang:
(A) G399 Engine (both magnetos):
Angle from horizontal ... 30°
(B) G398 and G379 Engines (solid state magnetos):
Angle from vertical* ... 30°
*3N863 and 3N525 Magnetos for G398 Engines need 45°
(C) G398 and G379 Engines (point gap magnetos):
Angle from vertical ... 0°
