Caterpillar announces the addition of Remanufactured cylinder liners for 3600 engines.

The addition of Caterpillar Remanufactured 3600 liners will provide dealers with an additional repair option to support a variety of 3600 applications.
 

Features and Benefits

Remanufactured 3600 Cylinder liners meet all critical new part specifications and are warranted the same as new 3600 cylinder liners. This same as new quality is available at a fraction of the new part costs to help customers lower overhaul and owning and operating costs.

Core Acceptance

Core acceptance for Caterpillar Remanufactured 3600 cylinders is simple, visual and requires no special tools. The following is a summary of the core acceptance criteria:

To receive full core credit:

• No non operational damage (mishandling, excessive rust, corrosion or pitting)
• Acceptable Caterpillar part number
• Not visibly cracked or broken

Merchandising

Remanufactured 3600 liners further broaden customer repair options and will help reduce engine owning and operating costs. Reman 3600 liners are remanufactured to "same as new" quality standards for function and durability. Remanufactured liners are in stock and available worldwide.

Core Management/Returns

Please refer to the Caterpillar Core Management Information System (CMIS) Entitlement Parts Inquiry Screen that describes the list of parts in a Core Acceptability Family (CAF) and related part number detail. This information is available for all NACD dealerships and most other foreign dealer locations.

Acceptable core returns are all of the parts within the CAF that are purchased. A CAF is a grouping of part numbers with interchangeable entitlements. Any part within a CAF may be returned for credit against dealer purchases of any other part number with the same CAF.
