Usage:
1. Identify disconnect and cap four hose assemblies (1).
2. Remove two bolts and nuts (2).
3. Remove the steering relief valve.
NOTE: Install in reverse order.
Disassemble & Assemble Steering Relief Valve
Start By:
a. remove relief valve
1. Remove fitting (1) and two fittings (2). Check the O-ring seals for wear or damage. Replace as required.
2. Remove cap assembly (6), spring (5), poppet (4) and seat (3).
3. Remove nut (14) and seal (13).
NOTE: Before removing set screw assembly (11), count the number of exposed threads to insure that the setting is not changed for assembly purposes.
4. Remove set screw assembly (11).
5. Remove seals (10) and (9), spring (8) and pilot plunger (7).
6. Clean all parts and check for wear or damage. Replace as required.
NOTE: The following steps are for the assembly of the steering relief valve.
7. Install pilot plunger (7), spring (8), and seals (9) and (10).
8. Install set screw assembly (11) to the setting recorded during disassembly.
9. Install seal (13) and nut (14).
10. Install seat (3), poppet (4), spring (5) and cap assembly (6).
11. Make sure the O-ring seals are properly installed. Install two fittings (2) and fitting (1).
