Usage:
Start By:
a. remove drum assembly

Drum support components use elastic stop nuts in several places. After being disassembled, these nuts should be discarded and replaced with new parts. |
Heavy component. Avoid possible injury. Do not move prior to securely attaching a proper lifting device. |
1. Attach a hoist and chain to drum support as illustrated.
2. Raise the hoist enough to support the drum support assembly. Remove the bolts, washers, and nuts securing the drum drive plate and gear reducer to the shock mounts.
3. Use the hoist to carefully remove the drum support assembly from the drum.

Check the condition of the rubber shock mounts. Replace any that shown signs of severe cracking, fatigue, or breakage. |
4. Remove the bolts and washers securing each shock mount to the drum head if shock mounts are to be replaced.
Install Drum Support (Propel Side)
1. Install shock mounts to drum head using bolts and washers if these parts have been disassembled.
Heavy component. Avoid possible injury. Do not move prior to securely attaching a proper lifting device. |
2. Attach a hoist and chain to drum support as illustrated.
3. Use the hoist to raise the drum support assembly. Move into place against the shock mounts.
4. Secure the drum drive plate to the shock mounts with the bolts, washers, and nuts.
