Friction discs (A), friction discs (B), and friction discs (C) may fail on the machines not operating in Advanced Productivity Electronics Control Strategy (APECS) mode.

Caterpillar is aware of this problem but an interim repair has not been defined. In the event of failure, replace the failed 173-3270 Friction Discs, 173-3272 Friction Discs, and 289-3614 Friction Discs with same parts.
