Cable assembly (A) from the alternator terminal may interfere with hose assembly (B) which will lead to hydraulic hose failure on the machines listed above. This issue may also occur in machines with 437-0125 Charging Alternator Gp.
Solution
Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility. |

Caterpillar is aware of this problem and recommends the following interim corrective action.
Inspect for interferences between 451-1099 Cable As and 375-5399 Hose As.
If there is any interference found, rotate ring terminal on positive alternator terminal to eliminate interference.
In the event of failure, replace the damaged 451-1099 Cable As with the same part.
In the event of failure, replace the damaged 375-5399 Hose As with the same part.
Until a permanent corrective action (PCA) is available, inspect regularly scheduled maintenance to ensure that the interference does not reoccur.
