Description Of Change: Improved spiral bevel gear sets are now used on the machines listed above. The improved bevel gear sets provide better service life in applications with higher retarding demands. The mating shrouds must be updated along with the installation of the new gears.

Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

⁽²⁾	The pinion gear design remains unchanged while the crown gear is thicker. However, the pinion and crown are a matched set and must be replaced together at the bevel gear set level.
⁽³⁾	Refer to Service Magazine , M0085859 , "Improved Bevel Gear Set and Retainer Rings Are Now Available For the Center Differential of Certain 700 Series Articulated Trucks" for information on the new retainer groove used with the pinion gear. The crown gear is thicker.

Note: During the installation of new thicker bevel gears, the mating shrouds must be updated.
