The Front Suspension Mounting Group is Improved on Certain 793F Off-Highway Trucks {7200} Caterpillar

Description Of Change: The front suspension group is improved on the machines listed above. A new bearing in the front suspension group utilizes seals to channel grease to the inner ring. Lubrication holes in the inner ring have increased from two to four and the ring bore now incorporates a spiral groove pattern. The bearing cap improved design includes better interference fit that is equivalent to R7. The changes to the bearing and bearing cap will improve the service life of the components and the upper suspension mount head.

New bearing cap assembly (2) replaces the former 320-3050 Bearing Cap in 320-9002 Suspension Mounting Gp.

Improved bearing (1) and bearing cap (2) are adaptable to the machines within the listed serial numbers, and are effective in production with all the machines after the listed serial numbers.

Note: New bearing (1) may be used on the previous version of the bearing cap without issue. Or the new bearing cap as (2) may be used on the previous bearing without issue. In either of these cases the full improvement may not be realized.
