Exhaust Elbow - Remove and Install

Usage:

320D3 ESX

Removal Procedure

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.



NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Open hood (1).

  2. Remove bolt (2). Loosen clamp (6) and disconnect hose (3) along with the clip.

  3. Loosen clamp (5). Remove exhaust elbow (4) and the O-ring seal.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install exhaust elbow (4) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten clamp (5) to a torque of 46 ± 2 N.m (34 ± 1 lb ft).
