Blade Cushion

The blade cushion accumulators (1) dampen shocks that are made in the blade lift circuit when the blade contacts an object that will not move.
The Blade Cushion is Activated Continually
When a shock occurs, pressurized oil flows through the lines and into blade cushion accumulators (1). Blade cushion accumulators cushion the force of the pressurized oil in the hydraulic circuit. Once the shock has passed, pressurized oil from the blade cushion accumulator re-enters the hydraulic circuit. Oil flows back into the head end of the blade lift cylinder. This positions the blade to the same location before the shock.
