The shutoff valve controls the pilot system for the machine implements. The implements will not function when the pilot system is disabled. Solenoid (7) will shut off pilot oil flow to the solenoids of the implement system. With no pilot oil, the implement control valves cannot direct oil to the implement cylinders. Solenoid (7) is controlled by the implement lockout switch.
The shutoff valve also houses the steering and implement signal resolver used to direct the appropriate signal to the pump control valves.

Pilot oil from the pilot oil filter enters the shutoff valve at pilot supply port (10). The oil will flow directly to the implement lockout solenoid valve (7). Implement lockout solenoid valve (7) will supply oil to the implement pilot pressure port (9) when the implement lockout switch is set to enable implements. Implement lockout solenoid valve (7) will connect implement pilot pressure port to drain when the implement lockout switch is set to disable implements.
Oil will enter the shutoff valve at implement load sense port (1), steering load sense port (5), and load sense boost supplied by the steering valve redundant pilot will enter at port (6). Shuttle valve (2) will send the highest pressure to the pump control valve.
