PRODUCT LINK (S/N: PL11-UP)

A new procedure for power cycle is now available for the products that are listed above. This procedure for power cycle allows the PL131 devices to power up on one or multiple power cycles. In most cases one power cycle allows the locator to start reporting, including a message that will be queued at the first power-up.

Note: In the most extreme case, 4 or 5 power cycles will be required before the devices start reporting.

Perform the below procedure for power cycle prior to installation of the device:

  1. Switch ON all the devices and wait for five minutes.

  2. Switch OFF all the devices and wait for ten seconds. Then switch ON the device again.

Note: User can see the five blinks again.

  3. If possible, verify that the device is communicating with the back office and provides an update before installing on the machine.

  4. Now the device should start sending the messages immediately.

  5. If the device does not respond. Repeat the steps 1 to 3 for minimum three times.

Devices that do not respond to the above process after a few cycles may need to have new 460-0681 Battery installed.

Note: It is recommended that the procedure detailed be performed at the dealership office to ensure that the locator is functioning properly prior to installation at the customer site.
