Conveyor Belt Tension and Tracking - Adjust

Belt Tensioning

  1. Push belt in, to allow for wrench.

  2. Loosen jam nuts (1).

  3. Loosen or tighten tensioner bolts (2) with 1-1/8" wrench or socket until desired belt tension is attached.

  4. Tighten jam nuts (1) when finished.

Belt Tracking

  1. Tighten idler roller on wondering side to avoid the belt tracking toward front or back.

  2. Rollers must be aligned parallel using slotted holes in pillow block bearings (Loosen bearing mounting bolts for this adjustment) to avoid the opposite tracking depending on belt direction.
