According to the "Information disclosure announcement for Non-road Mobile Machines (NRMMs)" published by China Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP), all newly built NRMMs produced starting 01 July 2017should be affixed with an environmental information label. All machines produced after 01 July 2017and still kept in dealer stock inventory, should be labeled.

Note: Machines that were already sold by the dealers to end customers between 01 July 2017and 01 October 2017, do not need to be relabeled.

MEP inspectors are expected to start checking for machine labels in the market. These inspections might take place at dealer lots possibly. If machines are found in dealer lots without the environmental information labels, manufacturers and/or dealers could be penalized.

Caterpillar^® has provided a way to relabel such machines. Dealers may receive a package of labels from the machine facility for those machines they have ordered or request labels from Emissions Regulatory and Conformance (ERC).

Ensure to affix the environmental information label to every machine before selling them to customers, beginning 01 October 2017.

Instructions for labels received without direct request:

1. Confirm that the serial numbers on the labels match the machines in inventory.

2. Match the label to the machine. Install the label according to the instructions received.

3. If there are no instructions, contact the Emissions Regulatory and Conformance.

4. If the machine has already been sold to the customer, dispose of the label. No further action is required.

For machines not included above, or for customer replacement of Machine Disclosure label the following information is required:

• Machine serial number

• Engine serial number

• Machine sales model

• Machine build date

Submit a request ticket to the ERC group using the Customer Request Portal with the address below:

1. If this is the first time submitting a request to ERC through the Customer Request Portal, you will be required to register a new account.

2. Once logged in to the Customer Request Portal site, navigate to the form highlighted above.

   Note: Attach a document with details if requesting more than one machine for labeling.

3. You will receive a confirmation email when the request has been submitted. Labels will be shipped to the dealer address from the United States, along with installation instructions. Typical time expected to receive the labels is 5 business days.
