Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the assembly procedure, the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Note: Check all the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

If two terminal bushings were removed, use a suitable press and Tooling (B) (not shown) to install two terminal bushings into the body assembly.

Note: The seams of two terminal bushings should be indexed closest to the center of the body assembly.

Note: The tops of bearings should protrude between 5.59 mm (0.22 inch) and 5.84 mm (0.23 inch).

Coat the insideof the body assembly with clean hydraulic oil.

Note: Install bottom isolation plate with the rounded edge toward the bottom of the body assembly.

Note: Install pressure plate with the bronze surface toward the drive shaft and the idler gear.
