The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

The engine oil pan drain valve may seize on the machines listed above. Seizures are due to the paint on the drain valve.

1. Extend valve lever (1) out from the valve as shown in Illustration 2.

2. Rotate the valve counter-clockwise to open the valve.

3. Repeatedly, open and close the valve three to four times to relax the paint and ensure smooth operation.
