Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Tank Filler Cap

- Clean DEF tank filler cap (1) and the surrounding area.
- Remove the DEF tank filler cap (1).
- Fill the tank with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).
Note: Do not fill the DEF tank from a contaminated container or funnel.
Note: Do not over fill the tank. DEF can freeze and needs room for expansion.
- Install the DEF tank filler cap (1).
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Fast Fill Adapter
- Remove dust cover and clean the fast fill DEF adapter (2).
- Fill tank with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) through the fast fill DEF adapter (2).
Note: Do not over fill the tank. DEF can freeze and needs room for expansion.
Note: The maximum flow rate for the fast fill adapter group is
46 L/min (12.1 US gpm) . - Clean the fast fill DEF adapter (2) and dust cover. Install the dust cover on the adapter.
