Removal Procedure

1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

2. Disconnect elbows (1) and position the hose assemblies out of the way.

3. Remove bolts (3), clamps (2), and exhaust elbows (4).

   Note: Clamps (5) are one time use only, discard and replace with new clamps.

4. Remove bolts (5).

5. Remove bolts (6).

6. Remove bolts (7) and exhaust cooler assemblies (8).

Installation Procedure

1. Install exhaust cooler assemblies (8) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (5).

      Note: Finalize tightening sequence of bolts (5) before final torque is applied to any other NRS cooler connections.

   2. Lubricate the threads, bearing surfaces, and inside diameter of clamps (2) with Tooling (A) before assembly.

   3. Tighten clamps (2) to a torque of 10 ± 5 N·m (89 ± 44 lb in).
