Removal Procedure

1. Drain the coolant.

2. Disconnect hose assembly (1), tube assembly (2), and hose assembly (4).

3. Remove bolts (6) and disconnect tube assembly (8).

4. Remove clamp (3), clamp (7), and air filter (5).

5. The approximate weight of turbocharger (10) is 28 kg (62 lb).

6. Use Tooling (A) to remove nuts (9) and the spacers. Use two people to remove turbocharger (10) and the gasket.

   Note: Do not reuse the gasket.

Installation Procedure

1. Install turbocharger (10) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Clean the mating surface between turbocharger (10) and the exhaust manifold.

   2. Tighten nuts (9) to a torque of 25 N·m (18 lb ft) in the sequence shown in 3.

   3. Tighten nuts (9) to a torque of 60 N·m (44 lb ft) in the sequence shown in 3.

   4. Tighten tube assembly (2) to a torque of 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
