Energy Storage System Caterpillar


Contactor - Replace

Usage:

ES18H2.25 ZA5

  • Verify that the system is shut down.

  • Remove the power module access panel.

  • Remove the two control cable connectors from the contactor.

  • Remove the two power connectors from the contactor. The power connectors are from the fuse and to the current sensor.

  • Remove the two mounting screw and washer for the contactor.

  • Rotate the contactor and remove from the system.

  • Install the new contactor using the reverse order of removal. Install the upper mounting screw first and rotate to align with the lower mounting screw hole.

  • Torque the mounting screws to 2.5 N m (22 lb in).

  • Torque the power connections to 10 N m (90 lb in).

  • Torque control cable connectors to 2.5 N m (22 lb in).

  • Turn on the system and verify normal operation of the power module in charge and discharge.
