Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the housing (front).
- Remove the flywheel housing.
- Remove the oil pan.
NOTICE |
---|
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
Note: To prevent engine damage, do not alter or deface the fractured mating surfaces of connecting rod and cap. Do not reverse the connecting rod cap location.
Note: To prevent engine damage, do not push fractured surface of connecting rod.
Note: To prevent engine damage, keep the fractured mating surfaces of the connecting rod and cap clean and free of lint and debris. Do not allow the mating surfaces to rest on other surfaces. Do not bump the mating surfaces or drop the connecting rod or cap. Doing so could chip or mar the mating surfaces, causing incorrect mating of rod and cap.
