  1. Turn off the diesel exhaust fluid supply to the dosing cabinet.

  2. Turn off the power supply to the dosing cabinet.

  3. Wait 30 seconds, then turn off the air supply to the dosing cabinet.

  4. Turn the engine OFF.

  5. Remove bolts (1) and install Tooling (A). Remove remaining bolts (1). Using two people, remove cover (2). The weight of cover (2) is approximately 24 kg (53 lb). Inspect the gasket and remove if necessary.

  6. Use a suitable ladder to access the catalyst inside of the reactor assembly. Remove pins (3) and remove channels (4).

  7. Remove braces (5).

    Note: Keep the catalyst dry and store the catalyst in a dry location. Never let the catalyst become wet. If the catalyst becomes wet, allow the catalyst to air dry. Moisture in the catalyst can cause corrosion resulting in equipment failure.

  8. Remove the individual blocks of catalyst (6). The weight of the individual blocks of catalyst (6) is approximately 21 kg (47 lb). There are 36 individual blocks of catalyst (6) per layer.

  9. Remove pin (7) and remove bracket (8). Repeat for the remaining brackets.

  10. Remove pins (9). Using a suitable lifting device, remove assemblies (10) and (12), then frame assembly (11). The individual weight of frame assemblies (10), (11), and (12) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

  11. Repeat Steps 6 through 10 for Locations (Y) and (Z) in order to remove the remaining layers of the catalyst.

  1. Beginning at Location (Z), use a suitable lifting device to lower frame assembly (10) into position. Next, use a suitable lifting device to lower frame assembly (11) into the reactor assembly. Connect frame assemblies (10) and (11) and install pins (9).

  2. Use a suitable lifting device to lower frame assembly (12) into position and install the pins that connect frame assembly (11) to frame assembly (12).

  3. Position brackets (8) and install pins (7). Repeat for the remaining brackets.

  4. Install the individual blocks of catalyst (6) beginning in the corners and then around the perimeter, working in towards the center.

  5. Install braces (5).

  6. Install channels (4) and install pins (3).

  7. Repeat Step 1 through 6 for Locations (X) and (Y) in order to install the remaining layers of catalyst.

  8. If necessary, install a new gasket .Using two people, position cover (2) onto Tooling (A). The weight of cover (2) is approximately 24 kg (53 lb). Install bolts (1). Remove Tooling (A) and install remaining bolts (1).
