(2) O-Ring seal

Lubricate the O-Ring seal (2) with engine oil prior to assembly. Fit the O-Ring seal into the groove in the body of the water pump.

Position the pump (1) so that the inlet port and the outlet port are horizontal. Prior to the final tightening, tighten the nuts (6) and bolt (4) by hand so that the O-Ring seal (2) is not damaged. Once the pump (1) has been correctly positioned, final tighten the nuts and bolt.

(4) Tighten the bolt to the following torque. ... 22 N·m (16 lb ft)

(5) Tighten the stud to the following torque. ... 11 N·m (97 lb in)

(6) Tighten the nut to the following torque. ... 22 N·m (16 lb ft)
