Replacement of the Clean Emissions Module on Certain 3516C and 3516C HD Generator Set Engines{1091} Caterpillar

The former 374-2501 Catalytic Converter Gp can be replaced with the new 445-6900 Catalytic Converter Gp .

The new 445-6900 Catalytic Converter Gp is designed with a 267 mm (10.5 inch) longer fluted exhaust extension.

267 mm (10.5 inch) of the customer exhaust piping will have to be removed in order to accommodate the additional length of the CEM.

1. Remove the NO_X sensor.

2. Install one 380-4550 Plug in the original NO_X sensor location.

3. Remove 267 mm (10.5 inch) from the inlet of the CEM.

4. Install one flange (1) and one new 2W-7873 Exhaust Gasket on each inlet pipe of the CEM.
