Disassemble Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the crosshead.

1. Use a suitable lifting device to remove pony rod (2) . Refer to Table 2 for the approximate weight of pony rod (2) . Remove bolts (1) and remove pony rod (2) .

2. Remove set screw (3) from crosshead (4) .

3. Attach Tooling (A) to crosshead (4) . Use a suitable lifting device to remove crosshead (4) . Refer to Table 3 for the approximate weight of crosshead (4) .

4. Put an Identification Mark (X) on pin (5) and crosshead (4) for installation purposes. Remove pin (5) and crosshead (4) .

5. Flip crosshead (4) over. Remove bolts (6) and thrust bearing (7) .

6. Use a suitable lifting device to lift connecting rod (9) . Refer to Table 2 for the approximate weight of connecting rod (9) . Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to remove bushing (8) . Remove bushing (8) .
