Anti-Splash Tape is Available for use with Current Fuel Line Shield Groups used on 3500 Machine Engines {1067, 1252}

Usage:

793B 1HL
Caterpillar Products: Machine Engines
  • All 3500 Series
  • Description of Change: Anti-splash tape is available for use with existing fuel line shield groups. The tape can be installed onto fuel lines that have not been undercut machined to allow the use of the plastic shields.

    Adaptable To: The 237-3860 Tape is available in a 10 m (33 ft) long by 50 mm (2 inch) wide roll. The ant-splash tape can be installed in addition to current fuel line shields.

    Install the tape at all fuel line connections. The proper torque must be applied to all fuel line connections prior to installation of the tape. Do not reuse the tape, if the tape is removed, the tape must be replaced.

    The tape and plastic fuel line fitting shields cannot be used together on the same fuel line. The plastic shield will not install correctly over the tape.

    The use of the anti-splash tape is adaptable back to first production of all 3500 engines.
