A New Air Hose and a New Solenoid Valve Manifold Are Used for the Air Shutoffs on Certain 3512C and 3516C Petroleum Engines {1078, 1078}

Usage:

3512C R1S
Engine:
3512C (S/N: R1S1-UP)
3516C (S/N: SBJ1-UP)

Description of Change: The previous air lines included a hose with both an inlet and an outlet that could be connected to the air shutoff solenoid valve. When the hose was installed incorrectly, the engine would shut off after pressure was built upon start-up. The new air lines have hose connections that only allow correct assembly.

Adaptable To:

The new air lines are adaptable to the above engines back to first production.

The new parts and the previously used parts are identified in Illustration 1 and in Table 1. The previously used parts are not canceled.

Note: There is no need to replace the existing parts if the parts are assembled correctly.The new parts are affective with the R1S00899:
