  • 频繁低速运行(低于 20 英里/小时)

  • 使用含硫量大于 15 ppm 的燃油

  • 未装油水分离器

  • 频繁在多尘状况下或非公路条件下工作

  • 非公路工作

  • 频繁在超过 1525 m (5000 ft) 的高海拔地区工作

  • 极端的环境温度条件可能会使燃油润滑性能下降

  • 燃油滤清器经常堵塞

  • 燃油系统的保养周期延长

  • 燃油储油箱保养不足(水过量、沉淀物堆积以及微生物滋生等)

  • 延长建议的保养周期

  • 未使用 Caterpillar 在专门出版物, SEBU6385, "Caterpillar 公路用卡车柴油机用液建议"中指定的燃油、冷却液或润滑剂

  • 频繁在低怠速运转(超过20%)

  • 频繁在温度低于 −18 °C (0 °F) 的条件下冷起动

  • 频繁干起动(停机超过 3 天后再起动)

  • 频繁热停机(高载荷系数工作后应至少留出五分钟的降温时间)

  • 如果发动机存放超过 3 个月,参阅专门说明书, SEHS9031, " Caterpillar 产品贮存程序"。
