Assembly Procedure

Note: Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

Note: Lubricate the moving parts and the seals with clean hydraulic fluid during assembly.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury. To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.

1. Install stem (7), spring (6), guide (5), and retaining ring (4).

2. Install O-ring seals (3).

3. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of plug (1). Install O-ring seal (2) and plug (1).

End By:

1. Install the check valve into the control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Check Valve - Install".
