Intake Manifold Pressure Shown Incorrectly in the Monitor Display of Certain Wheeled Excavators{7490, 7601, 7620}

Usage:

M322D D2W
Excavator:
M316D (S/N: D6W1-UP)
M318D (S/N: D8W1-UP; D9X1-UP)
M322D (S/N: D2W1-UP; D3X1-UP)

Introduction

The intake manifold pressure is shown incorrectly in the monitor display of certain Wheeled Excavators.

Problem

Certain Wheeled Excavators have an error in the monitor software. The intake manifold pressure that is being displayed in the Analog Input Status on the monitor shows misleading information. The value that is displayed is the Absolute Pressure at the Intake Manifold that consists of the gauge pressure Plus atmospheric pressure. The correct reading to be displayed should only be the gauge pressure. The affected software flash files are listed in Table 1.

Solution

Caterpillar is aware of this issue and is working on a solution. This display will be corrected with the next monitor software update. At this time continue to use the 375-0485 Monitor Software Gp .
