Start Engine

The start button can be configured to act as a latched or maintained switch. That is, once the switch is pressed and released, the switch will act as if the button is still being pressed.
The start button can also be configured as a "hold" or momentary switch. If the start button is configured as a "hold", the start button will always need to be pressed and held to provide an input. That is, if the button is released, the button will act as a momentary push button.
If the button is configured as latched (maintained) switch, press the start button. Observe the confirmation dialog. Press "Yes" to start the engine. The DCU will complete the start sequence.
If the start button is configured as a "hold" button (momentary push button), press and hold the start button until the engine has started.
Stop Engine

The stop button can be configured as "latched" type of switch or "hold" type of switch. Refer to the description above for the start button for the definition of what a latch and hold button is.
If the button is configured as "latched" (maintained) switch, press the stop button. Observe the confirmation dialog. Press "Yes" to stop the engine. The DCU will complete the stop sequence.
If the stop button is configured as a "hold" (momentary) switch, press and hold the stop button until the engine has stopped.
