Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Illustration 1 g02400936 - Remove bolts (3) and disconnect the tube assembly from elbow (2).
- Remove bolts (1), elbow (2), and the O-ring seals.
- Remove bolts (6), bolts (8), adapter (7), and the O-ring seals.
- Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device on auxiliary water pump (5). The weight of auxiliary water pump (5) is approximately
25 kg (55 lb) . - Remove bolts (4) and auxiliary water pump (5).
- Remove the O-ring seal from auxiliary water pump (5).
