排气旁通阀 (1) 控制允许旁通涡轮增压器涡轮的排气量。 排气旁通阀将正确数量的排气直接引导至排气弯头,以维持期望的增压压力。

增压压力过大会导致发动机过热、爆震、涡轮增压器喘振和发动机过载。 控制至涡轮叶轮的排气量,以提供正确的增压压力。

实际增压压力与大气压力之间的压差直接启用阀 (8) 。

大气压力通过呼吸器 (3) 的大气压力端口 (11) 进入。 大气压力向膜片 (5) 施加作用力。 来自弹簧 (6) 的力与大气压力向膜片的同一侧施加压力。 使用调整螺钉 (7) 可以调整弹簧的力。

后冷器增压压力进口 (4) 向膜片施加相反的压力。 此增压压力通过布设至后冷器的管 (1) 输送到排气旁通阀。 发动机排气流通过阀杆施加其他相反的压力。

当增压压力和排气压力克服弹簧力与大气压力之和时,阀开启。 阀开启后,旁通排气 (10) 流向排气弯头。 其余排气 (9) 流向涡轮增压器。 通过允许过量排气旁通涡轮增压器涡轮叶轮,将发动机增压压力调节至可接受的水平。

在负载不变的情况下,排气旁通阀保持在稳定位置。

满负载时,排气旁通阀的正确位置为开启大约 20%。
