Connections of the M5 and M6 circuit breakers

The M5 and M6 circuit breakers are connected to the lines L8 and L9 as per the updated 273-2126 Wiring Diagram. With the improved wiring configuration, the California Twist Lock connectors have same voltage output of 240Vac when the voltage selector switch is in single phase mode. Hence, incorrect voltage distribution at the M5 and M6 circuit breakers is prevented.

The voltage readings at both California Twist Lock connectors for M5 and M6 circuit breakers are listed below:

  • X<Y=240Vac

  • Y<W=120Vac

  • X<W=120Vac

Note: The NEMA connectors are usable only when the voltage selector switch is in a 3-phase operation mode. The California Twist Lock and Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) connectors are usable only when the voltage selector switch is in the single-phase operation mode.

Note: Make wiring configuration adjustments, confirm operation and voltage readings prior to placing the units into service.
