Description of Change: The new seal kit includes new air seals that have an increased service life over the existing seals.
Adaptable To: The new 337-7215 Seal Kit is a direct replacement for the existing seals on the 200-6415 Aftercooler, the 218-7094 Aftercooler Core As, and the 236-4256 Aftercooler As .
Note: The kit includes gaskets and O-ring seals that can be used for the aftercooler and the water lines as the gaskets and seals are needed.Refer to the procedure below for the proper installation of the new air seals onto the aftercooler core.
Seal Installation Procedure
- Remove the protective tape from the air seals.
- Measure the dimensions of the aftercooler and bend the new air seals for a proper fit with the aftercooler.
- Place the air seal in position. Leave a 2 mm (0.080 inch) gap between the bottom of the air seal and aftercooler core.
- Secure the seal and weld the seal to the aftercooler in the locations that are shown in Illustration 1.

Note: Do not use the sealant on the locations that the seal is welded to the aftercooler.
- Seal the outside perimeter of the seal with Loctite Ultra Copper High Temp RTV or an equivalent.
Note: Do not use the sealant on the locations that the seal is welded to the aftercooler.
Note: The 2 mm (0.080 inch) gap between the bottom of the air seal and aftercooler core must be filled with the sealant.
