Fan Drive Mounting Group - Remove and Install

Usage:

C7 PRY

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the alternator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator - Remove and Install".

One-Piece Fan Drive Mounting (If Equipped)

  1. Remove screws (1) .

  1. Remove bolts (2) .

  1. Remove bolts (3) .

  1. Remove fan drive mounting (4) .

Two-Piece Fan Drive Mounting (If Equipped)

  1. Remove bolts (5) and bolts (10). Remove support assembly (9) .

  1. Remove screws (6) .

  1. Remove bolts (8) .

  1. Remove fan drive mounting (7) .

Installation Procedure

One-Piece Fan Drive Mounting (If Equipped)

  1. Position fan drive mounting (4) on the engine. Install bolts (2) and bolts (3). Tighten bolts (2) and bolts (3) finger tight.

  1. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft).

  1. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (20 ± 5 lb ft).

  1. Install screws (1) .

Two-Piece Fan Drive Mounting (If Equipped)

  1. Position fan drive mounting (7) on the engine.

  1. Install bolts (8) and screws (6). Tighten bolts (8) and screws (6) finger tight.

  1. Position support assembly (9) on fan drive mounting (7) .

  1. Install bolts (5) and bolts (10). Tighten bolts (5) and bolts (10) finger tight.

  1. Tighten bolts (8) and screws (6) to standard torque.

  1. Tighten bolts (5) and bolts (10) to standard torque.

End By: Install the alternator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator - Remove and Install".
