A new plug assembly (1) is used on the machines that are listed above. The new plug assembly has tighter tolerances that improve the sealing capability of the plug.

Adaptable To: The 321-8638 Plug As is a direct replacement for the 183-3407 Plug As. If a repair is made because of a 183-3407 Plug As, replace all of the 183-3407 Plug As with the 321-8638 Plug As along the high-pressure oil rail in the cylinder head.

Plug torque ... 35 ± 3.5 N·m (26 ± 3 lb ft)

The new plug assembly is adaptable back to the first production of the listed machines.
