Sudden movement or accidental starting of the machine can cause personal injury or death to persons on or near the machine. To prevent personal injury or death, perform the following: Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Lower the work tool to the ground and engage the parking brake. Stop the engine and remove the key. Block the wheels and install the steering frame lock.

Installation of 219-2384 Position Sensor Group (Lift)

1. Install one 6D-3025 Ball Bearing (37) into the 4E-2250 Housing (21) .

2. Install one 2L-6726 Retaining Ring (39) into the 4E-2250 Housing (21) .

   Note: This 2L-6726 Retaining Ring (39) serves as a spacer. The 4E-2250 Housing (21) has no groove for the 2L-6726 Retaining Ring (39) .

3. Install the other 6D-3025 Ball Bearing (37) into the 4E-2250 Housing (21) .

4. Install the other 2L-6726 Retaining Ring (39) into the groove in the 4E-2250 Housing (21) .

5. Slide the 4E-2453 Governor Control Shaft (38) into the 4E-2250 Housing (21) from the front. Then slide the 4E-2453 Governor Control Shaft (38) through the two 6D-3025 Ball Bearings (37) .

6. Install the 2H-3429 Retaining Ring (31) onto the 4E-2453 Governor Control Shaft (38) .

7. Install one 8C-5608 Spacer (35) and two 8C-5607 Mounts (34) in each of the three holes in the 4E-2250 Housing (21) .

8. Use the following hardware to install the 219-2384 Position Sensor Group (Lift) (28) to the back of 4E-2250 Housing (21) :
   • Two 6V-2313 Bolts (29)

   • Two 4B-4274 Washers (30)

9. Use the following hardware to install the 129-6792 Bail Arm (25) onto lift arm:
   • Two 8T-4186 Bolts (41)

   • Two 8T-2561 Hard Washers (40)

10. Use the following hardware to install the 4E-2250 Housing (21) onto the 7I-3236 Support (23) :
    • Three 9X-2480 Bolts (32)

    • Six 9X-6165 Washers (33)

    • Three 5C-2890 Nuts (36)

11. Use the following hardware to install the 7I-3236 Support Bracket (23) onto the studs on the frame:
    • Three 8T-4244 Nuts (1)

    • Three 8T-4223 Hard Washers (2)

12. Place lift arm in the lowest possible position. Place the bucket in the fully racked back position.

13. Use the following hardware to install the 6S-4868 Lever (22) onto the 4E-2453 Governor Control Shaft (38) :
    • One 9B-7237 Bolt (19)

    • One 8T-4896 Hard Washer (20)

    Note: Do not tighten the 9B-7237 Bolt (19) on the 4E-2453 Governor Control Shaft (38) at this time.

14. Assemble one 6V-8186 Full Nut (27) and 8K-1253 Rod End (26) completely onto one end of 129-6791 Rod (24) .

15. Assemble one 8L-4496 Jam Nut (16) and 5P-9683 Rod End (15) completely onto the other end of 129-6791 Rod (24) .

16. Set the length between the centerlines of the rod ends to 284 mm (11.1811 inch) by turning the 129-6791 Rod (24) .

17. Use a 8T-4224 Hard Washer (18) and connect 8K-1253 Rod End (26) to 129-6792 Bail Arm (25) .

18. Use the following hardware to connect the other rod end to the 6S-4868 Lever (22) :
    • Two 8T-4224 Hard Washers (18)

    • One 3D-8752 Locknut (17)

19. Connect the 219-2384 Position Sensor Group (Lift) (28) lead to the front wiring harness (E). Secure the 219-2384 Position Sensor Group (Lift) (28) lead with two 3S-2093 Cable Straps (3) .

Installation of 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System)

1. Use the following hardware to mount the 4E-2448 Bracket (11) onto the frame:
   • Two 8T-4139 Bolts (14)

   • Two 8T-4223 Hard Washers (2)

2. Install the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (9) onto the 4E-2448 Bracket (11) .

3. Install the 6V-8636 Connector (12) and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (6) onto the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (9) .

4. Install the 6V-9850 Swivel Elbow (13) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (7) onto the 6V-8636 Connector (12) .

Note: The following steps 5 through 9 are used to place the 126-6872 Tee (5) in line with the existing check valve (D) .

5. Remove the existing check valve (D) and install the 126-6872 Tee (5). Use the existing seal.

6. Use a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (6) and reinstall the existing check valve (D) onto the top of the 126-6872 Tee (5) .

7. Install 122-2222 Adapter (10) and a 6V-8397 Seal O-Ring (7) onto the 126-6872 Tee (5) .

8. Use a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (7) and connect the straight end of 102-5912 Hose As (8) onto the 122-2222 Adapter (10) .

9. Use a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (7) and connect the other end of 102-5912 Hose As (8) onto the 6V-9850 Swivel Elbow (13) .

10. Connect one end of 129-8111 Monitor Harness As (4) to the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (9) .

11. Refer to Illustration 2 and route the 129-8111 Monitor Harness As (4). Secure the 129-8111 Monitor Harness As (4) with five 3S-2093 Cable Straps (3) .

12. Connect the other end of 129-8111 Monitor Harness As (4) to the front wiring harness (E) .

1. Use four 7Y-7256 Screws (51) to install 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (45) onto the 136-9192 Plate As (49) .

2. Use four 7Y-7256 Screws (51) to install 237-0825 Monitor Electronic Control Module (43) onto the 136-9192 Plate As (49) .

3. Place the 2G-1133 Grommet (50) on the 135-1922 Monitor Harness As (46) near the end with the plug for the 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (45) .

4. Install the 115-1748 Lamp (44) into the lamp socket on the 135-1922 Monitor Harness As (46). Install the lamp socket into the 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (45) .

5. Connect the proper plug on the 135-1922 Monitor Harness As (46) to the 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (45) .

6. Connect the proper plug on the 135-1922 Monitor Harness As (46) to the 237-0825 Monitor Electronic Control Module (43) .

7. Install the 2G-1133 Grommet (50) into the side of 136-9190 Cover (47). Refer to Section C-C in Illustration 3.

8. Use six 9X-2042 Screws to install the 136-9190 Cover (47) onto the 136-9192 Plate As (49). Install the 236-8117 Film (56) on the top of the 136-9190 Cover (47) .

9. Use two 8T-4171 Bolts (52) and two 9X-8256 Washers (55) to install 136-9191 Plate (48) in the cab. Refer to Illustration 3.

10. Use three 9X-2043 Screws (54) to install the 136-9190 Cover (47) onto the 136-9191 Plate (48) .

11. Route the 135-1922 Monitor Harness As (46). Refer to Illustration 3.

12. Use five 7K-1181 Cable Straps (42) in order to secure the 135-1922 Monitor Harness As (46) .

13. Connect the twelve pin plug on the 135-1922 Monitor Harness As (46) onto the main cab harness that is located in the overhead console.

14. Refer to SYSTEMS OPERATION, TROUBLESHOOTING, TESTING AND ADJUSTING, SENR6614, "PAYLOAD CONTROL SYSTEM (PCS)" for adjustment procedures.

(B) Front wiring group

1. Use the following hardware to install the 222-9995 Bracket (6) to the frame:
   • Two 8T-4195 Bolts (17)

   • Two 8T-4121 Hard Washers (15)

2. Use the hardware that is included with the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (3) and install the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (3) onto the 222-9995 Bracket (6) .

3. Install the 126-6872 Tee (4) and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (9) onto the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (3) .

4. Install the 6V-3965 Fitting As (11) and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (9) onto the 126-6872 Tee (4) .

5. Install a 6V-0852 Dust Cap (1) onto the 6V-3965 Fitting As (11) .

Note: The next three steps are only necessary if the machine does not have ride control. If the machine has ride control go to Step 10.

6. If the machine does not have ride control install a 6V-8636 Connector (13) and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (9) into the main control valve and mounting group.

7. If the machine does not have ride control install a 122-2222 Adapter (2) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (12) into the 6V-8636 Connector (13) .

8. If the machine does not have ride control install a 6V-9850 Swivel Elbow (14) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (12) into the 122-2222 Adapter (2) .

9. If the machine does not have ride control connect the straight end of 125-9488 Hose As (8) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (123) onto the 6V-9850 Swivel Elbow (14) .

10. If the machine has ride control install a 122-2222 Adapter (2) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (12) into the existing Tee on the main control valve and mounting group.

11. If the machine has ride control connect the straight end of 125-9488 Hose As (8) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (123) onto the 122-2222 Adapter (2) .

12. Connect the other end of 125-9488 Hose As (8) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (12) onto the 126-6872 Tee (4) .

13. Connect the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (3) lead to the proper plug on the 147-2764 Harness (5).

14. Refer to Illustration 4 to route 147-2764 Harness (5). Use the following hardware to secure the 147-2764 Harness (5) :
    • One 130-5300 Clip (7)

    • One 8T-4121 Hard Washers (15)

    • Three 5P-9085 Clips (10)

    • One 8T-4133 Nut (16)

15. Connect the other end of 147-2764 Harness (5) to the front wiring group (B) .

1. Use two 9X-2040 Screws (29) and install the 195-0973 Bracket (8) on the right front cab post.

2. Use two 9X-2040 Screws (29) and install the 241-6393 Bracket (22) on the right front cab post.

3. Use two 9X-2040 Screws (29) and install the 241-4227 Bracket (21) on the right front cab post.

4. Use the following hardware and install the 224-9368 Bracket As (19) onto the back of the 228-7137 Rear Cover (20) :
   • Four 5C-9553 Bolts (32)

   • Four 9X-8256 Washers (24)

5. Use four 7Y-7256 Screws (26) and install the 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (6) onto the 224-9364 Bracket (17) .

6. Run the plug on the 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (6) through the 228-7137 Rear Cover (20) .

7. Install two 6K-8180 Grommets (3) into the 228-7137 Rear Cover (20) .

8. Install the 228-7137 Rear Cover (20) and the 198-6588 Front Cover (12) onto the 224-9364 Bracket (17). Use three 9X-2045 Screws (31) to secure the covers.

9. Use four 9X-2042 Screws (30) to install the 198-1941 Hinge Assembly (11) and 224-9364 Bracket (17) onto the 241-6393 Bracket (22) .

10. Install a 210-7018 Latch Assembly (16) onto the 224-9368 Bracket (19) .

11. Use the following hardware to install the 283-1636 Monitor Electronic Control Module (Payload) (23) onto the 195-0975 Bracket (9) :
    • Four 8T-0328 Hard Washers (27)

    • Four 6V-2313 Bolts (25)

12. Use four 9X-8917 Screws (5) and install the 199-3417 Plate (13) onto the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) .

13. Use the following hardware to install the 224-9367 Bracket (18) onto the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) :
    • Three 9X-8256 Washers (32)

    • Three 5C-9553 Bolts (24)

14. Install the 205-4933 Film (14) onto the 224-9367 Bracket (18) .

15. Install a 210-7018 Latch Assembly (16) onto the 224-9367 Bracket (18) .

16. Connect the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) to the main cab harness which is located in the overhead console.

17. Install the 7N-5876 Lamp (4) into the lamp socket that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) .

18. Insert the lamp socket that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) into the empty 6K-8180 Grommet (3) that is on the back of the 228-7137 Rear Cover (20) .

19. Connect the connector with three pins that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) to the connector that is on the 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (6). Secure the connector with three pins that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) with one 3S-2093 Cable Strap (2) .

20. Insert the other two connectors on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) through the rear of the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15).

21. Install one 8T-9471 Grommet (28) around the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) and into the hole in the rear of 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) .

22. Use three 9X-8917 Screws (5) and install the connector with five pins on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) onto the 199-3417 Plate (13) .

23. Install the 3E-5165 Protection Cap Assembly (1) onto the connector with five pins.

24. Connect the other connector onto the 283-1636 Monitor Electronic Control Module (Payload) (23) .

25. Use three 9X-2045 Screws (31) and install the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) and the 195-0976 Front Cover (10) .

26. Install the 236-8117 Film (33) onto the 195-0976 Front Cover (10) just above the display.

27. Use four 9X-2042 Screws (30) to install the 198-1941 Hinge Assembly (11) and 195-0975 Bracket (9) onto the 195-0973 Bracket (8) .

Installation of the Mounting Group for the Position Sensor

1. Use the following hardware and mount the 169-0417 Position Sensor Group (Lift) (5) onto the 199-4064 Bracket (7) :
   • Five 5C-7261 Nuts (11)

   • Five 7X-0818 Bolts (12)

   • Ten 8T-4224 Hard Washers (17)

2. Use the following hardware and install the 214-3616 Plate (8) onto the 169-0417 Position Sensor Group (Lift) (5) shaft:
   • One 214-3617 Plate (9)

   • Two 8T-4971 Bolts (19)

   • Two 9X-8256 Washers (20)

3. Use the following hardware and install the 130-5300 Clip (3) onto the 199-4064 Bracket (7) :
   • One 8T-4137 Bolt (17)

   • One 8T-4121 Hard Washer (15)

4. Refer to Section B-B in Illustration 6. Assemble the following parts:
   • One 166-0599 Rod (4)

   • Two 7X-7662 Rod Ends (1)

   • Two 160-8500 Nuts (10)

5. Connect one of the 7X-7662 Rod Ends (1) onto the 214-3616 Plate (8) that is mounted on the 169-0417 Position Sensor Group (Lift) (5) .

6. Use the following hardware and install the 179-7000 Arm (6) onto the Lift Arm:
   • Two 8T-4223 Hard Washers (16)

   • Two 8T-4956 Bolts (18)

7. Use the following hardware and install the 199-4064 Bracket (7) onto the Front Frame of the Machine:
   • Three 126-2743 Spacers (2)

   • Three 8T-4121 Hard Washers (13)

   • Three 8T-4133 Nuts (14)

8. Connect the other 7X-7662 Rod End (1) onto the 199-4064 Bracket (7) .

9. Connect the plug on the power lead of the 169-0417 Position Sensor Group (Lift) (5) onto the proper plug on the front wiring harness. The proper plug is located near the lift position sensor.

(B) Front wiring group

1. Use the following hardware to install the 222-9995 Bracket (6) to the frame:
   • Two 8T-4195 Bolts (17)

   • Two 8T-4121 Hard Washers (15)

2. Use the hardware that is included with the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (3) and install the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor (3) onto the 222-9995 Bracket (6) .

3. Install the 126-6872 Tee (4) and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (9) onto the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor (3) .

4. Install the 6V-3965 Fitting As (11) and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (9) onto the 126-6872 Tee (4) .

5. Install a 6V-0852 Dust Cap (1) onto the 6V-3965 Fitting As (11) .

Note: The next three steps are only necessary if the machine does not have ride control. If the machine has ride control go to Step10.

6. If the machine does not have ride control install a 6V-8636 Connector (13) and a 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal (9) into the main control valve and mounting group.

7. If the machine does not have ride control install a 122-2222 Adapter (2) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (12) into the 6V-8636 Connector (13) .

8. If the machine does not have ride control install a 6V-9850 Swivel Elbow (14) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (12) into the 122-2222 Adapter (2) .

9. If the machine does not have ride control connect the straight end of 125-9488 Hose As (8) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (123) onto the 6V-9850 Swivel Elbow (14) .

10. If the machine has ride control install a 122-2222 Adapter (2) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (12) into the existing Tee on the main control valve and mounting group.

11. If the machine has ride control connect the straight end of 125-9488 Hose As (8) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (123) onto the 122-2222 Adapter (2) .

12. Connect the other end of 125-9488 Hose As (8) and a 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (12) onto the 126-6872 Tee (4) .

13. Connect the 124-4672 Pressure Sensor Group (Payload Control System) (3) lead to the proper plug on the 147-2764 Harness (5) .

14. Refer to Illustration 7 to route 147-2764 Harness (5). Use the following hardware to secure the 147-2764 Harness (5) :
    • One 130-5300 Clip (7)

    • One 8T-4121 Hard Washers (15)

    • Three 5P-9085 Clips (10)

    • One 8T-4133 Nut (16)

15. Connect the other end of 147-2764 Harness (5) to the front wiring group (B) .

8. Install the 228-7137 Rear Cover (20) and the 198-6588 Front Cover (12) onto the 224-9364 Bracket (17). Use three 9X-2045 Screws (31) to secure the covers.

9. Use four 9X-2042 Screws (30) to install the 198-1941 Hinge Assembly (11) and 224-9364 Bracket (17) onto the 241-6393 Bracket (22) .

10. Install a 210-7018 Latch Assembly (16) onto the 224-9368 Bracket (19) .

11. Use the following hardware to install the 283-1636 Monitor Electronic Control Module (Payload) (23) onto the 195-0975 Bracket (9) :
    • Four 8T-0328 Hard Washers (27)

    • Four 6V-2313 Bolts (25)

12. Use four 9X-8917 Screws (5) and install the 199-3417 Plate (13) onto the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) .

13. Use the following hardware to install the 224-9367 Bracket (18) onto the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) :
    • Three 9X-8256 Washers (32)

    • Three 5C-9553 Bolts (24)

14. Install the 205-4933 Film (14) onto the 224-9367 Bracket (18) .

15. Install a 210-7018 Latch Assembly (16) onto the 224-9367 Bracket (18) .

16. Connect the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) to the main cab harness which is located in the overhead console.

17. Install the 7N-5876 Lamp (4) into the lamp socket that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) .

18. Insert the lamp socket that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) into the empty 6K-8180 Grommet (3) that is on the back of the 228-7137 Rear Cover (20) .

19. Connect the connector with three pins that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) to the connector that is on the 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (6). Secure the connector with three pins that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) with one 3S-2093 Cable Strap (2) .

20. Insert the other two connectors on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) through the rear of the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15).

9. Use four 9X-2042 Screws (30) to install the 198-1941 Hinge Assembly (11) and 224-9364 Bracket (17) onto the 241-6393 Bracket (22) .

10. Install a 210-7018 Latch Assembly (16) onto the 224-9368 Bracket (19) .

11. Use the following hardware to install the 283-1636 Monitor Electronic Control Module (Payload) (23) onto the 195-0975 Bracket (9) :
    • Four 8T-0328 Hard Washers (27)

    • Four 6V-2313 Bolts (25)

12. Use four 9X-8917 Screws (5) and install the 199-3417 Plate (13) onto the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) .

13. Use the following hardware to install the 224-9367 Bracket (18) onto the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) :
    • Three 9X-8256 Washers (32)

    • Three 5C-9553 Bolts (24)

14. Install the 205-4933 Film (14) onto the 224-9367 Bracket (18) .

15. Install a 210-7018 Latch Assembly (16) onto the 224-9367 Bracket (18) .

16. Connect the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) to the main cab harness which is located in the overhead console.

17. Install the 7N-5876 Lamp (4) into the lamp socket that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) .

18. Insert the lamp socket that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) into the empty 6K-8180 Grommet (3) that is on the back of the 228-7137 Rear Cover (20) .

19. Connect the connector with three pins that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) to the connector that is on the 297-1398 Payload Keypad Module (6). Secure the connector with three pins that is on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) with one 3S-2093 Cable Strap (2) .

20. Insert the other two connectors on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) through the rear of the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15).

21. Install one 8T-9471 Grommet (28) around the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) and into the hole in the rear of 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) .

22. Use three 9X-8917 Screws (5) and install the connector with five pins on the 188-1421 Monitor Harness As (7) onto the 199-3417 Plate (13) .

23. Install the 3E-5165 Protection Cap Assembly (1) onto the connector with five pins.

24. Connect the other connector onto the 283-1636 Monitor Electronic Control Module (Payload) (23) .

25. Use three 9X-2045 Screws (31) and install the 210-7016 Cover (Rear) (15) and the 195-0976 Front Cover (10) .

26. Install the 236-8117 Film (33) onto the 195-0976 Front Cover (10) just above the display.

27. Use four 9X-2042 Screws (30) to install the 198-1941 Hinge Assembly (11) and 195-0975 Bracket (9) onto the 195-0973 Bracket (8) .
