Remote Input/Output Dry Contact - Setup
The contacts are configured by using theUPSView software package.
User Programmable Remote Input Contacts
Each of the six user programmable remote input contacts has an operating parameter. The operating parameter is used in order to configure that contact.
The following list of functions can be assigned to the remote input contacts. The functions can be assigned by entering the parameter in the operating parameter for the associated remote input. Table 2 gives the defaults for the six input contacts.

(1) When the input contactor is set to the ON GENERATOR mode, various limits can be set for the "Transient Voltage Detection" operating parameter. The "Maximum Input Current" operating parameter and the "Walk-in Rate" operating parameter.
(2) Used to command remotely the UPS to go to the on-line mode.
(3) This feature is used to detect an external alarm, and log such an event in the UPS history file.
(4) Used to silence the alarm from a remote location.
(5) A "breaker open" message is printed when the input is activated. A "breaker closed" message is printed when the input is deactivated.
(6) A message is printed when the input is activated. A different message is printed when input is deactivated.
(7) This message is defined by the user.

User Programmable Remote Output Contacts
Each of the six user programmable remote output contacts has an operating parameter that is used to configure that contact. The following list of functions can be assigned to the remote output contacts. The functions can be assigned by entering the parameter in the menu for the operating parameter for the associated remote output. Each User Programmable Remote Output Contact provides a Form C connection. The contact is rated for 3 A.
