Introduction
This service publication contains the installation information that is needed to convert to a joystick on a field machine.
A complete listing of the parts that are contained in these kits is listed in the Parts Manual, SEBC1494. This supplemental product support literature should be used with the appropriate Service Manual that is available for the standard machine.
Do not perform any procedure and do not order parts that are outlined in this publication until you understand the information that is contained in this document.
Removal of the hydraulic control system with two levers or three levers
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine. To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. If the machine is not equipped with a battery disconnect switch, disconnect the battery cables from the battery and tape the battery clamps. Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on. |

- Remove the following:
- Two Screws (A)
- One Cushion Assembly (B)
- Two Screws (C)
- One Cover (D)
Note: Keep the cushion assembly and mounting hardware for later use.

- Remove the two screws that are holding the operator controls to the support for the implement control group.
- Disconnect the harness for the operator control from the cab harness.
- Remove the operator control.
- Remove the horn switch and keep the horn switch for later use.
- Remove the downshift switch and keep the downshift switch for later use.
Installation of the 3-function Electrohydraulic Control Gp
Note: Software must be uploaded to this group before final installation and testing.
- Use the following hardware and mount the 156-6175 Clip (23) :

- Install the 245-8335 Operator controls harness As (5) into the 262-5239 Housing As (9). Secure the 245-8335 Operator Controls Harness As (5) onto the 156-6175 Clip (23) with three 7K-1181 Cable Straps (21) .
- Use three 9X-2044 Screws (18) and install the 247-4969 Plate (6) onto the bottom of the 262-5239 Housing As (9) .
- Use the following hardware and mount the 262-5239 Housing As (9) onto the support for the implement control:
Note: The support that is for the hydraulic control must be mounted in the rearward set of holes of the mounting bracket.
- Connect the 245-8335 Operator Controls Harness As (5) to the main cab harness.
- Use the four 112-6646 Locknuts (12) and mount the 245-7649 Joystick Control Gp onto the 263-1995 Plate As (10) .
- Connect the 245-7649 Joystick Control Gp harness to the 245-8335 Operator Controls Harness As (5). Secure the connectors with a 7K-1181 Cable Strap (21) .
- Use four 9X-2044 Screws (18) and mount the 263-1995 Plate As (10) and the 245-7649 Joystick Control Gp onto the 262-5239 Housing As (9) .
- Install the four 4E-8722 Nuts (1) onto the 262-5238 Cover (8) .

- Use the following hardware and install the 262-5238 Cover (8) :
- Use the following hardware and install the 245-6447 Cushion (4) :
- Remove the plug and install the 256-7822 Rocker Switch (11) .

- Use the following hardware and mount the 156-6175 Clip (23) :

- Install the 245-8335 Operator Controls Harness As (5) into the 262-5239 Housing As (9). Secure the 245-8335 Operator Controls Harness As (5) onto the 156-6175 Clip (23) with three 7K-1181 Cable Straps (21) .
- Use three 9X-2044 Screws (18) and install the 247-4969 Plate (6) onto the bottom of the 262-5239 Housing As (9) .
- Use the following hardware and mount the 262-5239 Housing As (9) onto the support for the implement control :
Note: The support that is for the hydraulic control must be mounted in the rearward set of holes of the mounting bracket.
- Connect the 245-8335 Operator Controls Harness As (5) to the main cab harness.
- Use the four 112-6646 Locknuts (12) and mount the 245-7650 Joystick Control Gp onto the 263-1995 Plate As (10) .
- Connect the 245-7650 Joystick Control Gp harness to the 245-8335 Operator Controls Harness As (5). Secure the connectors with a 7K-1181 Cable Strap (21) .
- Use four 9X-2044 Screws (18) and mount the 263-1995 Plate As (10) and the 245-7650 Joystick Control Gp onto the 262-5239 Housing As (9) .
- Install the four 4E-8722 Nuts (1) onto the 262-5238 Cover (8) .
