Two belt tension gauges allow the technician to check the tension of belts for air compressors, air conditioning compressors, alternators, water pumps and other belt driven attachments on the above engines. The 144-0235 Belt Tension Gauge works on A section belts with a top width of 9.0 to 13.0 mm (0.35 to 0.51 inch) and K section poly V-belts, four, five and six rib belts. The 240-8220 Belt Tension Gauge works on A section belts with a top width of 9.7 to 31.8 mm (0.38 to 1.25 inch) and K section poly V-belts and eight rib belts.

    Features and Benefits

    • Compensating feature for the belt thickness increases accuracy.

    • The belt tension gauges have permanent dial decals.

    • Use of the tool helps eliminate belt slippage.
