Note: Mark the locations of all hose assemblies before you begin removing the check valve.

Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR IN THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.

NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Use Tooling (A) to support the work tool.

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (1) and (2) from check valve (3) .

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (5) from check valve (3) .

  1. Remove bolts (6) and check valve (3) .

Note: Inspect all O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Note: During the assembly process, all hose assemblies must be installed in the original locations.

  1. Position check valve (3) on the work tool. Fasten check valve (3) with bolts (6) .

  1. Install the O-ring seals and hose assemblies (4) and (5) on check valve (3) .

  1. Install the O-ring seals and hose assemblies (1) and (2) on check valve (3) .

  1. Remove the work tool from Tooling (A) .
