Tool | Part Number | Part Description | Qty |
A | FT2674 | Vacuum Cap | 1 |
B | 138-7573 | Link Bracket | 2 |
C | 1U-6396 | O-Ring Assembly Compound
D | 1U-8846 | Gasket Sealant
E | 9S-3263 | Thread Lock Compound |
Note: O-rings, gaskets and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring. A reconditioning procedure should not be degraded because of a low cost component such as an O-ring or a gasket. Use Tooling (C) during the assembly procedure.

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Apply a bead of Tooling (D) to the surface of the undercarriage frame assembly prior to the installation of the swivel joint.

43 kg (95 lb) . - Make sure that the identification mark on the bottom face of the swivel faces toward the front of the machine.
- Install the rubber boot and hose clamp (15). Tighten the hose clamp to a torque of
5.4 ± 0.5 N·m (47.71 ± 4.34 lb in) . - Install the retainer and bolts (14). Tighten the bolts to a torque of
37 ± 4 N·m (27 ± 3 lb ft) . - Remove Tooling (B).
